About the coffee
Will it taste like mushrooms?
No. It tastes like coffee; smooth, medium-roast, velvety, with a clean finish. We use a premium Chaga extract selected for its purity and quality, allowing it to complement the coffee rather than compete with it. Carefully crafted to blend seamlessly into the roast, it enhances the experience without changing the flavor you love.
If you're expecting a mushroom taste, you'll be disappointed in the best possible way.
Is this real coffee?
Yes. We source our premium coffee beans from South America. They are 100% Arabica, small-batch roasted to a medium profile, ground, and then ready to brew. Not instant, not a coffee substitute, not a mushroom powder pretending to be coffee. Brew it exactly how you brew your usual bag.
What's actually in it?
100% Arabica coffee from South America, wild harvested Chaga extract, and L-theanine from green tea leaves. In our flavored blends we use the best sourced natural flavors. That is the whole list. No added sugar, no sweeteners, no filler.
What do Chaga and L-theanine do?
Chaga is a functional mushroom that has been valued in traditional wellness practices for centuries, treasured for its connection to the natural world and its long history of use. L-theanine is an amino acid naturally found in green tea. It contributes to the cup's flavor profile, helping soften the natural bitterness found in both Chaga and coffee beans, for a smoother and more refined cup.
Caffeine and how it feels
How much caffeine is in a cup?
MyCelia is full-strength coffee, so expect roughly what you'd get from a standard cup. Each serving also contains 100mg of L-theanine, the amino acid naturally found in green tea.
Will it make me jittery?
It's full-strength coffee, so treat it the way you'd treat any other cup. Caffeine affects everyone differently, and that doesn't change here — if you're sensitive to it, drink accordingly. Each serving also contains 100mg of L-theanine, naturally found in green tea.
Is this decaf or low-caffeine?
No. Some mushroom coffees cut the caffeine — we don't. MyCelia is full-strength coffee, with 100mg of L-theanine per serving alongside it.
Can I drink it every day?
It's built for it — that's the whole idea of a ritual. It's a food, not a supplement course.
Brewing
Is it ground or whole bean?
Ground, and ready to brew — no grinder needed.
How do I brew it?
However you already do. Drip — 2 tbsp grounds per 8 oz water, about 5 minutes. Pour over — 2 tbsp per 8 oz, 2–4 minutes. Espresso — 2 tbsp per shot, about 30 seconds.
How many cups per bag?
About 30 servings per 13.3 oz (378g) bag.
How should I store it?
Somewhere cool, dry, and out of direct sunlight, sealed between uses. Like any good coffee, it's happiest away from heat and air.
Flavors
What's the difference between the flavors?
The coffee and the functional ingredients are identical across all four — same medium roast, same 500mg Chaga, same 100mg L-theanine. Only the flavor changes: Original — just the coffee, nothing added. French Vanilla — soft, mellow, a little sweet. Hazelnut — warm, toasty, nutty. Caramel — rich and buttery.
Are the flavored ones sweet?
They taste sweet but contain 0g of sugar. The flavor comes from natural flavoring, not sweetener.
Which should I start with?
If you like your coffee black, start with Original. If you usually reach for creamer or a flavored syrup, one of the other three will feel more familiar.

Do you offer subscriptions?
Yes. Subscribe and save 15% on every order, delivered every 4 weeks — with free shipping on every delivery. A bag is about 30 servings, so every 4 weeks suits a cup a day.
Can I skip, pause, or cancel?
Anytime, from your account — no email required, no hoops. A ritual you're trapped in isn't a ritual.
Orders and shipping
Where do you ship?
Within the United States.
How fast will it ship?
Orders go out within 1–2 business days. You'll get tracking as soon as it does. Delivery typically runs 3–7 business days after that.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes — free standard shipping on orders over $70, and free shipping on every subscription delivery.
Can I return it?
Your first order is completely covered by our guarantee. If MyCelia isn't the right fit, tell us within 30 days of delivery and we'll refund your purchase — no questions asked, even if you've opened the bag. There's no need to send it back. This applies once per customer, on your first order.
For future orders, unopened bags can be returned within 30 days of delivery. Because coffee is a fresh food product, we're unable to accept opened bags from subsequent orders.
If your order arrives damaged, incorrect, or doesn't arrive at all, reach out to us and we'll make it right.
Health and safety
Who shouldn't drink this?
MyCelia is a food, not medicine, and it contains caffeine. If you're pregnant, nursing, taking medication, have a medical condition, or have a known allergy or sensitivity to mushrooms, talk to your doctor before drinking it. Keep it out of reach of children.
Are there any health claims here?
No — and deliberately. Our products haven't been evaluated by the FDA and aren't intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. We'll tell you how MyCelia is made and how people tend to describe how it feels. Anything beyond that isn't ours to promise.
